Steps in Preparing the Classroom Project Use this page to guide you if you are doing the classroom project . If you are doing the online project , use the online "Project Preview" as a guide . Working alone or in pairs , you will prepare a portfolio , My Circles of Contact The portfolio should have four parts , one part for each " circle of contact . " Round off your project by posting a short summaryof your portfolio 0 / 7 the classroom bulletin board . Part 1 : My Personal Circle ? Write a short reflection about yourself and / or about how you feel about your name . ? Add one or two photographs or pictures . Write suitable captions and explain how the photographs or pictures represent you as a person . Alternatively , write about music or a movie that is meaningful to you . ? Add the first completed section task . You may improve it or expand on it before adding it . ? Prepare a rough draft of a table of contents for your portfolio . Part 2 : My Family Circle ? Collect information about your family and family background . This can include photographs , family trees or interviews with family members , which you could record . Add selected sources to the portfolio . ? Write a report about your family circle ( a general description or profiles of specific family members ) . ? Add the second completed section task . You may improve it or expand on it before adding it . Part 3 : My Circles of Friends ? Write profiles describing a few friends , or write a reflection on how you see friendship and what friendship means to you . ? Add the third completed section task . You may improve it or expand on it before adding it . ? With a partner , compare your expectations regarding friends and friendship . Summarize the similarities and differences and add the summary to the portfolio . Alternatively , record your conversation and add the recording . Part 4 : Wider Circles ? Include the fourth section task . ? Focus on one way to reach out to other people ( e . g . youth group leadership , community work ) . Present this " wider circle " by writing a letter promoting it or give a short talk to the class . ? Add the letter or notes for your talk to the portfolio . Part 5 : Rounding Off ? Write a short summary of your portfolio . ? Finalize the table of contents . ? Post your summary on the classroom bulletin board .
